Juice Detox

Our environment contains a whole host of toxic substances.

The amount of pollution has increased tremendously in the last few years; every breath of air we takes not only provides us with the life sustaining oxygen but also with a whole bunch of toxins.

Pesticide and fertilizers are the backbones of modern agriculture, however these are very harmful to our bodies and ingesting any things grown with the aid of these toxins can cause several health problems in human beings.

Modern man suffers from a wide variety of health problems most of which can be directly attributed to the accumulation of toxins in our body.

Ingesting processed food, increased stress and a general lack of exercise in our routines has led to severe toxic accumulation in our bodies, which is characterized by a general lack of energy and digestive problems like constipation, gas and bloating.

Natural Cures for Juice Detox:

Juice detox is a great way of getting rid of all the toxins in the body by undergoing a rigorous fasting wherein only juices are allowed in the diet.

Juices have many nutrients and anti oxidants, hence can be the ideal energy boosters while fasting.

Organic Fruits and Vegetables:

Organic fruits and vegetables are very healthy for the body while one is undergoing a juice detox.

These can be found in health stores. However, if such organic substances are not available then peeling all fruits and vegetables before extracting juice from them is a must.

If one wants the additional roughage provided by the peels then the alternative to peeling is washing all fruits and vegetables thoroughly with a non toxic cleaner which is generally available in health stores.

Water:

Around 6 glasses of warm water which has been boiled and filtered in order to get rid of all toxins should be ingested by a person undergoing juice fasting.

This helps the body by keeping it hydrated and prevents lethargy from creeping in.

Green Vegetables and Sprouts:

Greens are very good while juice fasting. These green sprouts and vegetables contain the pigment chlorophyll which is very beneficial in detoxing the body while juice fasting.

It is important to intake 32 to 64 ounces of juice everyday during fasting.

This juice should be sipped intermittently throughout the day. A juice fast should ideally be a day long or in extreme cases can be extended up to 3 days.

These should be undertaken only when the climate is warm, spring is the ideal season for juice fasting.
