Onion:
Make on onion syrup out of onions and sugar. This will help to relieve the coughing and it is very simple to make.
Simply cut a medium onion in half and slice into small pieces, about ¼” thick.
Lay them in a glass jar and mash the onion up.
Mix in about a ¼ cup sugar or honey and let sit overnight.
It will blend together and make a syrup that can be taken one teaspoon every few hours.
Diet:
Another common home remedy for whooping cough is to get rid of all foods that will cause phlegm to build up, such as dairy products.
The whooping cough should be treated with fruits, especially oranges, and plenty of vegetables, like spinach and cabbage.
The better the diet, the quicker one will get rid of whooping cough.
