Natural Cleanse
A natural cleanse is a diet regime that can help you cleanse your body of the toxic matter that has built up over the years.
This toxic waste comes from mucus that is produced by your body to protect the intestinal lining during heavy meals.
If this mucus isn’t expelled each day as waste, it will build up in layers.
These layers will eventually dehydrate and form a black rubbery mass lining the large intestine and creating what is known as a toxic colon.
A toxic colon can be responsible for health issues that include:
- Acne
- Bad Breath
- Bloating and Gas
- Constipation
- Depression
- Digestive Disorders
- Headaches
- Intestinal Parasites or Worms
- Low Energy
- Sexual Dysfunctions
- Weight Gain
It is best to choose a natural cleanse that lasts a week. Pick one that you believe you can stick to for seven days. During this time it is important to drink plenty of water each day and to choose an herbal laxative that is gentle on your body.
Take the laxative for each day of the cleanse or until your bowels are running almost liquid loose. A natural cleanse of the colon will clean out the toxins and leave you with some weight loss, better skin, a flatter stomach, more energy, shiny hair and an overall feeling of health.
Natural Remedy for a Natural Cleanse:
The Live Foods Body Cleanse:
Often the live foods cleanse is done as pre-cleansing for a more radical cleanse like the lemon or master cleanse. This is a good place to start if you’ve never done a natural cleansing before. During this cleanse you must not eat processed foods or artificial ingredients.
Summer is a great time to do this cleanse as there are readily available local fruits and vegetables, many that have been grown organically. During this cleanse you should drink lots of plain water. Do not drink flavored or vitamin waters during a natural cleanse. The water keeps everything flowing naturally through your body.
The natural cleanse live food diet consists of fresh fruit for breakfast. The denser the fresh fruit, the better it is. Fruits like apples and watermelon contain a lot of water that will help to clear out your digestive system.
Throughout the rest of the day for lunch, dinner, and several snacks you should only eat fresh and raw fruits and vegetables. Don’t cook anything and don’t add oils, dressings, or salt to the fruits and vegetables. As these things can slow down and even stop the cleanse.
You should do this cleanse for a week. Then you can continue with the Master Cleanse or start eating somewhat normally. Your diet after this natural cleanse should include high fiber carbohydrates, low fat proteins, and several helpings of fruits and vegetables throughout the day.
Master Cleanse or Lemon Cleanse:
The Master or Lemon Cleanse is a very simple but effective program. You squeeze fresh lemon juice into a glass of pure water, add pure Maple Syrup and Cayenne Pepper to the drink and consume from six to twelve glasses throughout the day instead of eating. You can drink a glass of lemon water anytime you get hungry.
During this time you should also take an herbal laxative in the morning and evening. You can substitute a salt water flush for the morning laxative. Do this master cleanse for as long as you can manage it, up to seven days. Add food slowly, sticking to raw fruits and vegetables for the first day or so and then adding lightly grilled or baked fish or poultry.
Cleansing Foods:
There are some foods that help your body to cleanse itself naturally. Besides providing high levels of fiber, they are also great detoxifiers. The cleansing foods include:
- Wild rice
- Brussels sprouts
- Cabbage
- Carrots
- Papaya
- Peaches
- Cauliflower
- Celery
If you can’t do a full natural cleanse, consider adding these cleansing foods to your diet on a regular basis to help eliminate toxic waste.
